2016 Little Creek Pinot Noir – Benway Block

Produced from Keint-he’s oldest southern facing slope (southern slopes result in riper fruit!), this Pinot Noir is a single block, unfined and unfiltered bottling! Delicate and pretty, with lingering long legs. Uplifting acids along with juicy black cherry on the palate. Great cellaring potential, although its already showing very well with duck, goose, foie gras and bison.

For you production geeks, this wine was fermented in stainless steel and kept on its skins for 35 days, including a 5 day cold soak. It was racked to barrel and underwent a spontaneous malolactic fermentation. Prior to bottling the wine was aged in three french oak barrels for 18 months, of which only 1/3 was new oak.
